Bethan Drinkall
Director
Beth qualified from Pinderfields College of Physiotherapy. She founded Equinox Physiotherapy Partnership Ltd with Doug in 2002. Beth manages a busy active caseload of patients with a neurological impairment specialising in paediatric neurology in addition to her directorial role. Beth is chair of Ski4All Wales, Vice President of Verbier4All and Sits on the board of Directors of Snowsports Wales as their safeguarding and equality officer.
Michael Douglas
Consultant Physiotherapist
Doug co founded Equinox with Beth in 2002. After testing out retirement, he is now back as a consultant physiotherapist with an active role in the treatment of adults with complex neurological disorders. This includes specialist skills in ultrasound, FES, Dry needling and expert report writing.
Joanne Inkin
Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist
Jo qualified as a Physiotherapist from Cardiff University. Joanne has gained effective and practical skills in many aspects of Physiotherapy. Having worked in the independent sector initially in adult neurological services, Joanne is now primarily providing specialist paediatric physiotherapy services here at Equinox. Jo has worked to develop strong relationships with case managers within the medico legal industry, as well as with solicitors and other professionals.
Callum Wilson
Specialist Physiotherapist
A chartered physiotherapist of over 5 years who qualified from Cardiff University with first class honours. He specialises is trauma & orthopaedic rehabilitation and has 3 years of experience working on acute wards and in post hospital care. His experience spans from routine elective surgeries to silver and major trauma cases. Callum has a particular interest in treating polytrauma, spinal cord injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
Anissa Tang
Specialist Physiotherapist
Anissa qualified as a chartered physiotherapist from the University of Bradford and is currently managing a wide range of adult and paediatric neurological cases. Nissy has completed multiple specialist courses since joining Equinox as a way to expand her available treatment plans for her patients these include dry needling and the ‘Introduction to the Bobath Concept’ amongst others. Nissy is also an active volunteer in Ski4All Wales.
Mia Martin-Evans
Physiotherapist
Mia qualified as a chartered physiotherapist from Cardiff University and manages a busy caseload of complex neurological adult and paediatric patients alongside her ongoing specialist training. Mia initially joined the Equinox team as a rehabilitation coach with a background in Bsc and Msc Sport & Exercise Science, specialising in injury biomechanics, prior to starting her Bsc in Physiotherapy whilst continuing her busy caseload. Mia is qualified in both Aquatic Therapy and the Halliwick method. Mia is also a regular volunteer with Ski4All Wales and is a qualified Alpine & Adaptive ski instructor.
Josh Rencken
Rehabilitation Coach
Josh is an experienced exercise specialist with nearly ten years in the field. He holds an Honours degree in Biokinetics (Exercise Physiology) from South Africa, where he grew up. Since moving to the UK, Josh has spent the last five years working within the Trauma and Orthopaedics team gaining experience with acute trauma rehabilitation and management.
Simon Pritchard
Specialist Physiotherapist
Simon Pritchard is a Chartered Physiotherapist with a wide range of experience in Physiotherapy in the National Health Service and Private sector.
Simon has a particular interest in neurological and musculoskeletal issues. Simon provides rehabilitation and exercise programmes for a wide range of clients within Equinox and he also has a level four diploma in Sport massage.
He is currently assisting in the Swansea City development squad providing physiotherapy support.
Elizabeth Sutton-Smith
Administrator
Liz has been with Equinox since 2011 and has provided us with exceptional office administration, showing organisational qualities and greeting clients with a friendly smile. With a background in finance and accounting, Liz is able to keep a firm grip on the company’s development and has also been able to progress further within her administration role and undertake various clerical responsibilities.
Joe Bate
Specialist Aquatic Therapist
Joe Bate from Pembrokeshire has recently started working with Equinox Physiotherapy after passing his Diploma in personal training.
He is also a Level 2 swim teacher and has been teaching for over 5 years.
His workload at the moment is mainly pool based working with clients of all ages, helping them to be more independent and confident in the water.
Joe also has experience in leisure centre management and is familiar with the leisure activity environment and so can support client with their personal development and goals in this environment.
Bronwen Warner
Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist
After qualifying as a Physiotherapist from the University of Witwatersand, South Africa, Bronwen has developed an extensive set of skills within her profession as a paediatric physiotherapist. Bronwen began her journey of Physiotherapy in the UK at the Neath Port Talbot Hospital as a Specialist Community Paediatric Physiotherapist. Bronwen is a part time clinician for Shine and has recently become one of the UK’s leading specialist therapists in the use of spinal stimulation.
Adam Sanchez
Rehabilitation Coach
Adam received a BSc Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Glamorgan. Adam completed his dissertation on the subject of cardiac rehabilitation, which is where his interest in rehabilitation began. Adam initially pursued a career as a fitness instructor/personal trainer before joining our clinic as part of the rehabilitation team here at Equinox. Adam is now pursuing a career in Physiotherapy through a part-time Physiotherapy Bsc at the University of South Wales alongside his work at Equinox.
